Day Trips from Shimla: 10 Excursions with Real Costs and Honest Verdicts
Ten day trips from Shimla, sorted by half-day vs full-day. Mashobra, Naldehra, Kufri, Fagu, Narkanda, Tattapani, Chail, Kotgarh, Kasauli, Sarahan. Distances re-verified against Wikipedia and OSM in April 2026. Honest verdicts on what is overrated, what changed (Tattapani natural springs are submerged now), and what HRTC bus or private taxi will cost. By a Kullu local who drives the Shimla day-trip belt every time he leaves the state.
