What to expect

A guided tour of building that still keeps the colonial history alive in the summer capital, known as the Gaiety Theatre. It was built in the year 1887 during Queen Vitoria's Jubilee year, designed by the British architect Henry Irwin in the Gothic Revival style. It served as the best mode of entertainment during that era. It still serves as one of the most important cultural hub for the town. During the tour you will be told about the different sitting areas, the lights used, the importance of the curtains and the history of the theatre including the famous plays that took place. It is a 15-20 minutes detailed tour about the building, it's importance and it's history as well as the current era importance.
