Sopona Lake Hike - Mane
A 4 km hike up a stream from Mane Yogma to Sopona Lake — formerly Yangcho Lake — at 4,080 metres. The route is the first stage of the old Manirang Pass trail to Kinnaur. Moderate gradient, no technical sections, but the altitude is real. Combines with the Manae village day trip — overnight in Manae if possible, hike to the lake at first light. Guide essential. The lake, once you see it, justifies the day.
