Chandratal Sighseeing
Chandratal (meaning "The Moon Lake") is located at an altitude of 14,100 feet above sea level. The sweet water lake is around 2.5 km wide and lies in a broad grassy plain, which in ancient times was a glacier. The lake got its name because of its crescent shape. It is one of the most enchanting lakes in the Himalayas. The mountains of scree overlook the lake on one side, and a magnificent cirque presents a view on the other. Perfect for Walking by the Lake, Stargazing and camping.

Over night trip to Pukhtal Monestry
Leave the modern world behind for a two-day journey into the "Cave of Liberation." This expedition takes you from Sissu, across the majestic Shinku La pass, and deep into the rugged Lungnak Valley of Zanskar. Your journey begins with a specialized 4x4 drive past the monolith of Gombo Rangjon to the road-head at Purne or Cha. From there, accompanied by a seasoned local guide, you will embark on a 2.5-hour trek along the turquoise Tsarap River. The trail reveals Phuktal Monastery in dramatic fashion—a 15th-century "honeycomb" of mud and wood clinging precariously to a sheer limestone cliff, built around a sacred oral cave used by sages for over 2,500 years. Instead of rushing back, you will spend the night in the monastery’s guest quarters or a traditional Zanskari homestay.
