An intimate 20 course tasting table hosted by Minakshi Chaudhry, author of ‘Ghost Stories of Shimla’ (strictly limited to 8 guests).

For the curious and the discerning, Feast & Folklore is an intimate convergence of Himachali culinary heritage and living literary tradition. Hosted personally by Minakshi Chaudhry, celebrated author of Ghost Stories of Shimla, this experience gathers just eight guests at a single, shared table for Himachal’s only 20-course tasting menu.
Each course is an invitation to slow down. Dishes made of seasonal ingredients, with forgotten mountain recipes, and regional terroir. Do not be surprised if you encounter a dish crafted from foraged wild ingredients you wish you had discovered sooner. And when Minakshi pairs them with rich local narratives, eerie hill lores, and heritage stories drawn from decades of chronicling Shimla and its surrounding valleys, the experience becomes genuinely unforgettable. Rather than merely hearing tales, you are invited into the writer's perspective, observing how land, mystery, and memory shape the spirit of the mountains. Designed with an unhurried, salon style rhythm, the experience balances thoughtful conversation with natural pauses of quiet appreciation. It is a rare glimpse into the mind of a master storyteller, where exceptional food and authentic mountain lore create a deeply memorable evening.
