The heart of the Baspa Valley

Sangla is the main town of the Baspa Valley — also called the Sangla Valley — in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, set on the right bank of the Baspa river at around 2,680 m. Ringed by apple orchards, deodar forests and the snow peaks of the Kinner Kailash range, it is the gateway to Chitkul, the last inhabited village before the Tibetan border.
